When you register with The Access Place you should arrange an appointment to see the GP to discuss your ongoing medication.

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are a patient on regular medication, and the doctor has told you that you can have a repeat prescription without needing an appointment, you can make this request at reception using the repeat medication part of your prescription, or call 0131 529 5015. Simply tick the boxes of the items you require a prescription to be issued for and either post or hand in to reception. The clinician may ask to see you before issuing a repeat prescription in some circumstances.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your repeat prescription request is ordered in plenty of time.

You must give a minimum of 2 working days before returning to collect a prescription.

If you have changed pharmacy, please let the team know.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
